TRIFECTA x Tobyato TRI-dora Art Mural 🤝

In collaboration with SCAPE to open up art stories around the Somerset Belt, we’ve teamed up with artist Tobyato to create a vibrant floor mural that acts as a a gateway to more art history around the area. 

Tobyato is a Singaporean visual artist who has illustrated his way through wall murals and artist-brand collaborations. His artworks are often bold, striking and inspired by traditional Asian motifs with playful influences that reflect both his own heritage and personality. 

His artwork has adorned the walls of Warner Music Singapore, Shake Shack and has collaborated with brands such as Nike, ASICS, Samsung, Levi’s and HUGO among others. Outside of Singapore, he has also left his mark abroad, painting murals in Jakarta, Paris, and Los Angeles.

The piece, titled TRI-dora, is inspired by the iconic 3-headed King Ghidora, as well as the local board sports culture that our space within Somerset embraces. 🏄🏻🏂🛹

As the name TRI- dora suggests, the artwork highlights 3 key themes. 

1️⃣ It features the 3 elements of water, wind, and rock, each representing a different board sport here — surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding.

2️⃣ As a space that celebrates creativity in both sports and music, the flowing lines of the mural capture 2 things: the dynamic flow in lines of riding a board, and the creative flow state that artists and musicians tap into when in their element.

3️⃣ Finally, the mural serves as a natural guide, leading you through the different sections of our space.
